With the new introduction of Matcha Zen by Tealive, we compared the prices among several other chains to see where each falls on the price spectrum.
We also did a similar analysis back in June 2025, you can read it here >

Price Comparison Across Chains

The bar chart below shows how the Iced Matcha Latte is priced among major & popular chains in Malaysia.
Drinks priced below RM10 can be found in a few chains: Kopi Saigon, Koppiku and Oh Cha Matcha, positioning themselves in the affordable range.

Once you cross the RM10–15 range, more chains enter the mix, that includes the newly introduced drink from Tealive, which sits comfortably within this segment. (RM 11.20)

On the other end, some chains price their Iced Matcha Latte drinks above RM15: HWC Coffee, Super Matcha, Tim Hortons, CBTL and Jardin Coffee, marking them as premium offerings.

Category Comparison

To get a clearer picture, cafes/chains were grouped into four main categories: mainstream chains, specialty cafes, concept cafes and convenience store chains, to observe pricing differences by segment.

On average, mainstream chains such as Jardin Coffee, ZUS Coffee, Kee Nguyen and Kopi Saigon price their Ice Matcha Latte between RM8–20

Specialty cafes, meanwhile, are often priced between RM9.80 and RM16, for chains such as Super Matcha, Saemidori and Oh Cha Matcha.

Concept cafes, though only two are included for now: range from as low as RM12.80 at Hulu Cafe to RM15 at Pucks Coffee.
