MALAYSIA – How much does an iced latte really cost across Malaysia’s convenience store chains?
We set out to compare four major convenience store chains in Malaysia: 7-Eleven, CU Mart, MyNEWS, and FamilyMart.
So, let’s look at this in two ways:
What You Actually Pay > Each chain’s regular iced latte price (whatever size they serve (Ranging from 12 oz to 20 oz).
What If All Cups Were the Same Size? > Standardized to a 12oz equivalent for fair comparison.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Regular size
This first chart shows the price of an iced latte based on each chain’s regular serving size, which can vary from 12oz to 20oz.
7-Eleven: RM4.90 (12oz)
FamilyMart: RM7.60 (12oz)
Mynews (Maru Coffee): RM8.99 (16oz)
CU Mart: RM9.99 (20oz)

What If All Chains Sold the Same Size? (12oz Equivalent)
7-Eleven remains the cheapest overall
CU Mart takes second place, thanks to its large 20oz serving size, which offers better value per ounce.
MyNEWS becomes more affordable than FamilyMart once prices are standardized, dropping to RM6.74 for a 12oz equivalent.
Family Mart may seem affordable at first, but it ends up being the most expensive when compared ounce-for-ounce.
Table: Iced Latte Price
Conclusion
All in all, iced lattes from convenience stores remain relatively affordable, with options still available for under RM10.
Looking only at menu prices tells one story, but adjusting for cup size reveals another.
If you’re after the lowest upfront price, 7-Eleven comes out on top.
But if you care about value-for-money, CU Mart and MyNEWS become much more competitive once serving sizes are standardized. (12oz)
