Malaysia Inflation Rate: June 2025

MALAYSIA – The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) has released the latest monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) data. As of June 2025, Malaysia’s inflation rate fell to 1.1%, down slightly from 1.2% in May.

National Inflation Trend
The headline CPI increased by 1.1% year-on-year (YoY) in June 2025, continuing the mild deceleration seen since October 2024.

Month-on-month (MoM) inflation increased slightly by 0.1%, showing relative price stability compared to May.

Inflation by Selected Components (June 2025)
Restaurant & Accommodation Services recorded the highest inflation at 2.8% YoY.
Education saw a 2.2% increase
Transport with a small increase of 0.3%

State-Level Highlights
Selangor & Negeri Sembilan recorded the highest YoY inflation at 1.6%

Kelantan experienced the lowest inflation at 0.2%
