The unemployment rate for September 2025 stood at 3%, continuing a stable trend observed since April 2025.
By Quarter (2024 vs 2025)

In Q1, Q2 and Q3 of 2025, unemployment rates were lower compared to the same quarters in 2024.
- Q1: 3.3% (2024) → 3.05% (2025)
- Q2: 3.22% (2024) → 3% (2025)
- Q3: 3.18% (2024) → 2.97% (2025)
Duration of Unemployment
It is also vital to see how long people remain unemployed. This would give a clearer view of whether people are finding jobs quickly or staying unemployed for extended periods:
- Less than 3 months
- 3–5 months
- 6–12 months
- More than a year

Short-term unemployment (Less than 3 months) makes up the largest share. In September 2025, 65% of unemployed people had been actively seeking for work.
Medium-term unemployment (3–5 months): 20.4% of unemployed people, in September 2025
Long-term unemployment (6–12 months and 1 year or more): Around 15% of unemployed individuals had been actively seeking work for six months or longer.
